School year 2008-2009

Today is the 3rd day since school started for the new students of Children's House of Bucks County.

By the way, did you catch a picture of yourself and your child posted on our school's website taken during Orientation?

Summer was wonderful for the kids and for us as a family to have spent time together enjoying the sun and fun summer activities and outings.

However its equally wonderful that school has started again. There is a time for play and now its time for work.

This is a difficult time for most students, and maybe even some parents, who are new to our school life. The jitters of a new environment where the safety and familiarity of home is abruptly taken away for a few hours each day.

I know this because my youngest son, Jonathan, is attending the toddler program at Children's House. This is the first time Jonathan has ever been without his parents, his older sisters, his home and thrust into a totally new environment. Jonathan has to begin to learn to be independent without the comfort and support of his family by his side.

The toddler program lead by Ms. Lauren and Ms. Stacy is in its 4th year and slowly but surely Ms. Lauren and Ms. Stacy will reel them into a world of wonder and discovery. Jonathan will experience this as soon as he stops crying.

To all the students and parents brace up and look brightly to the next day as we journey together in search of knowledge and friendship.
